SPI News from England.
SPI ENGLAND NEWS FOR DECEMBER 2000 COMPILED BY SPI FOUNDER MALCOLM ROBINSON.
INTRODUCTION.
Well not a lot to discuss with you this time round, fairly quite on the UFO and paranormal front. I’m pleased to say that the SPI Scotland site which has seen no news of late, will be regularly updated as from January 2001, so look out for that. I’m glad that I turned SPI Scotland over to Brian Allan and Billy Devlin to run, it sure is in safe and capable hands.
SOME GHOSTBUSTER I AM !!!
I’ve spent many a night in an alleged haunted house in which mostly strange things have never happened, occasionally yes, but in the main not a lot ! I’ve never seen what I can really honestly say is a ghost, not once not ever and I’ve put myself into their ball park many a time. But guess what, now I can safely say that I’ve seen what I think (!) is a ghost. Let me explain.
A few nights ago, December 2000, I went to bed feeling very tired, my partner was still up watching late night T.V. I climbed into bed and was dead to the world (pardon the pun) in seconds, only to bolt straight up in bed when the shrill tones of the bedside telephone went off, (we usually switch it off in the bedroom purely for this intrusive purpose). Anyway, I soon quickly went back to sleep and this is where Malcky entered into the Ealing twilight zone. Now this was no Ealing Horror, not even an Ealing comedy, (I wish it was). I woke up straight out of a good sleep, why, I don’t know, but there I was wide awake and looking straight ahead of me towards the bedroom wardrobes. As my eyes focused and accustomed themselves to the dark surroundings, I very soon noticed a woman’s face intently looking straight at me, she was moving towards the bed (and me !) and I remember her striking beauty and dark shoulder length hair. My initial thoughts were that it was my partner Judy quietly entering the room trying not to wake me, but as I looked ever closer, I saw that this ‘wasn’t Judy’ that this expressionless faced woman hadn’t a body (I don’t recall seeing one anyway) and was gliding ever closer. At this point I let out quite an enormous scream (it’s sad isn’t it). I screamed, "No’oooooooo" and grabbed the bedcovers, pulled them over my scared as hell head, and feel the goose bumps tingle all over my body. That I’m sure I was awake is a fact of life. I’m absolutely positive I was. However, ‘being me’, I gingerly pulled the bedcovers down slowly and peered over in the direction of where this ‘apparition’ (!) was. And there was nothing, absolutely nothing. Phew, I couldn’t believe it. Not only couldn’t I believe that I had seen a ghost, but that I had screamed out "No’oooooooo". I can’t believe that I didn’t scream out something else, something more normal like, "For F**k’s sake", or, "Jesus Christ". Being the sad guy I am, I put the light on and a short while later Judy came up to bed, saw the state I was in, and asked me what was wrong. Now Judy being Judy, gave me the thoughts of her analytical mind. Which was fair enough. She said that I only thought I was awake, I could have dreamt this, or, I was in some sort of ‘fugue’ state, a state in which the individual is in the state between sleep and waking. As I say, this is all fair enough and even I had looked at the alternatives.
But I’ll tell you what readers, it’s true what they say, when you see something yourself, when you really truly view something which is totally out of ‘sorts’, then, and only then, do you really begin the thought process of trying to evaluate your situation. I don’t care what people say, I know that I wasn’t still asleep, I know what I saw, and I will never ever, till the day I die, forget this night, my very first real and true experience of seeing something strange. Was I scared, ‘you bet your life I was’. Some ghostbuster me eh !!
EAST OF SCOTLAND UFO CONFERENCE.
I was kindly invited by Andrew Hennessey to present a lecture to the East Of Scotland UFO Conference which was being held in the small town of Gullane near Edinburgh. The conference was being held at the Templar Lodge Hotel in Gullane of which I soon found out, was my sort of hotel. ! The hotel had lots of Templar things in it, including would you believe, a replica of the famous Apprentices Pillar. It was a very homely hotel with a lovely bar with large stonework and a roaring log fire. This was to be Andrew’s first attempt at organising a three day conference and he was to learn some vital lessons from it.
I arrived in time to take part in the Friday night debate entitled, ‘The Aliens Have Landed’ where I and others spoke about whether there were any truth in all these UFO and alien reports, and more to the point, ‘were they really here’ ! This was a lively debate which went on well into the wee small hours. Saturday afternoon saw a major storm sweep across Britain in which I thought the hotel I was staying in was going to be blown away in ferocious winds, and with the rain battering away at the windows in was no surprise that the attendance for Saturday was only around 15 people. Conference organiser Andrew Hennessey took the stage and spoke about ‘The New World Order’ which was a combination of interesting, boring, challenging, and something else !! Following on from Andrew was SPI Scotland’s Brian Allan who was introduced into the programme at short notice due to one of the speakers being late. Brian took the stage and held everyone spellbound as he spoke about some of the cases that SPI Scotland had been dealing with over the past few months. Well done Brian, (never realised that you were that good a speaker !!) Then came someone that I had been looking forward to see, a UFO witness, not your usual one however, but someone who claimed to have been taken up in some form of Out Of Body Experience into the stars and shown wonderful things. His name was Russell. Russell who comes from Fife in Central Scotland spoke with a very strong Fife accent and told the audience that he has been interacting with UFOs (or as he prefers to call them, Angels) for over 20 years. Russell believes that all UFOs seen all over the world are in point of fact, Angels of God bringing an important message for mankind. In strong terms, Russell urged the audience to seek out these Angels and for us to mend our ways for there are big and major changes on the way.
Russell spoke with conviction and purpose and was very powerful in his delivery. Brian Allan whispered in my ear that Russell was by far the best and most convincing speaker that he has ever heard. One would find it hard to disagree on this showing ! This was good because all too often it’s the researchers who take stage and tell the audience all about what’s been going on, here was a man who told it straight off. You could see the conviction and honesty in his face, it was something else. Mind you, he either is the world’s most convincing liar, or he is telling nothing but the truth.
Russell explained to the audience that he was given a hard time by his friends whenever he spoke to them about his UFO experiences, that was until the time when he had had enough and told his friends to congregate with him at a certain spot where ‘he’ (Russell) brought forth the UFOs into view for all to see. And guess what ? His friends firmly believe him now. ! Following on from Russell, was the ever interesting and wonderful Dave Moncoeur, (yes that’s how you spell his surname). Dave, (or dangerous Dave) as Andrew Hennessey introduced his as, spoke on the Cottingly fairies and showed the by now all too famous photographs of them. Dave however, tried to show the audience that the photographs of the two girls shown in the photographs, were actually Reptilian Aliens, or shape-shifters !! (yes that’s what I thought too !) Dave is of the opinion that there are thousands of ‘shape-shifters’ alive and kicking and living here in the U.K. Indeed, he goes as far as saying that some of the Royal Family, including Prince Philip are actually Reptilian !! Dave also spoke about the Robert France case (an English UFOlogist) when he had the Glasgow UFO rock band CE IV down to see him in Reading. Robert and the band members went into a local store (Boots the Chemist) to buy some film for their cameras, and just as Robert was going out of the door, Brian McMullan (Snr) guitarist with CE IV couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw Robert change right in front of him into…..wait for it…..a small grey alien (!!) Sounds fantastic I know, but I know Brian McMullan very well indeed and I wouldn’t doubt his word for a minute. Brian is a hard headed Scot who doesn’t suffer fools gladly, and if he says he saw Robert France change into a small grey alien, then you can take that to the bank !!
All in all Dave Moncoeur’s talk was for me fanciful nonsense, but then again, I could be so very wrong. Just because something sounds bizarre doesn’t mean to say that it’s not true. We all know that don’t we ! I don’t for one minute think that Prince Philip is an alien (no jokes please). Neither do I think that Margaret Thatcher (ex Prime Minister of Britain) knows what Dave is doing through some kind of camera that was left in his head which sends visual signals/pictures down to London. !! I can’t be bothered to explain this one.
Later that evening I took the stage and spoke about Scottish UFO reports. For the first time in years I had loads of time to speak, and boy did I enjoy it. Normally I only get around one and a half hours to present a lecture, this time I was well into three hours and still had lots to say. Eventually though I decided to bring this segment to a close. After the break, I resumed down in the bar with a talk on SPI’s research into ghosts. This went well and a number of people brought forward their own ghostly stories. All in all it had been an interesting day but sadly one in which did not see a great attendance, but then again the weather was atrocious and I would also question Gullane as a venue, (not the Templar Lodge Hotel which was fabulous) but Gullane as a town. This event should have been held in Edinburgh where possibly a bigger crowd would be guaranteed, (something to think about Andrew !) Sadly I had to leave the next day so I missed out on Margot Daru’s talk on Re-Incarnation and also the talk by Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince, though admittedly I had them as speakers to BUFORA earlier this year, (and good they were too). I also missed out on the live music that organiser Andrew Hennessey had put on, folk, blues, ceilidh and jazz, (now that’s what you call variety) Andrew had also planned a skywatch for Sunday night but due to the bad weather this had to be cancelled.
One thing’s for sure, Andrew Hennessey is a trier and I’m sure that any future events that he plans to stage will work out well. This was a learning curve for Andrew and I’m sure that there were valuable lessons that he learned from it. I left very early on the Sunday morning in a taxi to take me back to Edinburgh and my train to London. The taxi damage was £20, and once I had picked my chin up from the taxi floor, I was soon boarding my train to London. Well done Andrew and good luck with the next one.
THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL !!
Another lecture that I recently gave, was to Ian Dixon’s group based near Croydon. This was to be another first for me ! I have given lectures all over the U.K. some to audiences such as 2,000, (BUFORA Roswell Alien Conference) and some to audiences such as 6, (The Connections Conference in Coventry where I was on the same bill as William B. Davies, (Cancer Man from the X Files). I have also spoken on a bus through UFO ‘Hot Spot’ Bonnybridge, and given a lecture in the high security segment of Shotts Prison in Scotland. Anyway this lecture in near Croydon was another first, why ? well it was being held in Ian’s front room. Yes that’s right the living room of someone’s home. Anyway, you know what ! This lecture was fantastic. I had a great time. Around 25 to 30 people crammed (and I mean crammed) into Ian’s living room to hear me speak. It was a great atmosphere and everyone was having a good time. Another first was for me to project all my slides and ace-tates onto Ian’s white living room wall. Plus the fact that I was crammed into such a tight spot. But it was great fun, I could have stayed and spoke all night. Ian’s group who put on regular speaker’s are a fantastic bunch of people. One of Ian’s members drove me back to the train station where we stood on the platform where she quizzed me on UFOs and the paranormal until my train came. Unfortunately I have somehow mislaid Ian’s info about his forthcoming speakers for 2001, but should I come across it then I shall of course let you know.
MATTHEW WILLIAMS CONVICTED.
Well, well, who would have believed it ! A good friend of mine’s and Judy’s, Matthew Williams, was recently found guilty by a court of law or criminally damaging the crop in a wheat field near Devises in Wiltshire. Matthew William’s as some of you already know, ‘came out’ officially earlier this year stating to the world that he was a crop circle hoaxer and gave his reasons for doing so. The main one being, to test the gullibility of Joe Public to see what they would do in one of the hoaxed crop circles that he made. He found, not to his surprise, that some of them danced and whirled around in them and proclaimed them made by beings from far flung galaxies, etc etc. Matthew stood back in ‘non-amazement’ at these claims and quite rightly stated how easy it was to give people what they wanted. There’s more to it than that, but that is the gist of it. Anyway, Crop Circle researcher Professor Michael Glickman (who has moved to Wiltshire) stated that it was impossible for anyone to replicate a 7 pointed star as a crop circle. This was music to Matthew’s ears and he and a friend quickly set out to prove how wrong he was. Matthew then e-mailed Professor Glickmann to say that he had made it whereupon Professor Glickmann showed the farmer the photos that Matthew had placed on the Internet of this circle. The farmer then set about notifying the authorities whereupon Matthew’s home was raided by the police, certain things were consficated, and he was later charged in court and fined £140:00 for criminal damage.
Now, what about the others ??? Matthew is not the only one when it comes to hoaxers, there are many others operating all over southern England during the crop circle season, but because Matthew stuck his neck out and proved it can be done, the sour grapes by Professor Glickmann ensured that he (Matthew) wouldn’t get away with it. At the end of the day, I think that more and more British researchers are coming to terms with the fact that crop circles are pure hog-wash and I would like to thank Matthew for showing Joe Public and Glickmann, how very very easy it is to fake these circles.
If you want to hear more about all this, then why not come along to a lecture that Matthew is giving to BUFORA on Monday January 8th 2001. (see below)

TONY BASSETT ARTICLE:
The article featured below is a re-write of the Interview that I had with inventor Tony Bassett. I had been asked by London magazine TNT to do a write up of my interview with Tony. Sadly they could only give me 2,000 words to play with. I did my write up and found that it was 2,240 words in length, so I had to trim it down once again. However, I feature below what I would have liked to send to TNT magazine and here it is in it’s entirety, sadly it’s not the one that will be featured in the January issue of TNT.
I Can Visit The Spirit World
(With My Out Of Body Machine !)
By Malcolm Robinson.
2,240 Words.
I have been investigating the strange world of the unexplained for many years now, (more than I care to remember) and over the years I’ve heard many tales of people seeing ghosts, of people witnessing what they claim are aliens, and, being Scottish, I’ve spoken to many people who claim to have witnessed the Loch Ness Monster. Are these people all mad ? are their lives so trivial that they need to ‘spice’ it up by entertaining friends with tall and fanciful tales. I’ve always been fascinated by the paranormal and when I began to Investigate these subjects professionally, I was perhaps biased, biased in the sense that I honestly felt that all these weird and wonderful tales were nothing more than fanciful imagination, or at best ‘wishful thinking’ ! And it was my purpose in life to ‘disprove’ that these things happened/existed, however, as I travelled the length and breadth of this country interviewing people on a whole range of different paranormal happenings it soon became apparent that there was no smoke without fire, that many, if not all of these things really did exist/occur. I have never been an armchair researcher, my goal in life was to get out there, do the field work and find out ‘why’ these things happened.
In this article I’d like to inform you about a gentleman from London who has invented a device which he claims can induce an Out Of Body Experience (Oobe). Not only that, but this device he claims can also transport you to the past, future (!) and would you believe it, the spirit world. This was too good to be true and being a researcher these claims were right up my street, I just had to visit this man and find out more. What you are about to read is some of the information that was told to me on the occasion of my visit to this gentleman, a chap called Tony Bassett. Accompanying me on this research visit, was my partner Judith Jaafar.
It Really Does Work You Know !
Judy and I met up with Tony at his home in Haverstock Hill in Hamstead London and after a refreshing cup of tea we both sat back in our chairs to hear what can only be described as some fantastic claims. Tony aged 50, was told from an early age that all tales of strange phenomena were invented by people who were out to con the gullible out of their money, psychics were phoney, mediums were all fakes and that there were nothing at all in these claims. It wasn’t until 1961 that he began to really question what his school teachers and others had told him. He was attending a party when the conversation came round to hypnosis and he found himself being egged on by some friends to have a go and try and hypnotise one of the group, succumbing to the pressure, he decided to ‘have a go’ and see what happened. A few minutes later and without any training, he had two chaps completely under, and looking around the room he noticed that some other people had themselves went under just by watching and listening to his made up instructions.
A few days after this and suffering from a severe headache, he bumped into a chap who in the midst of the conversation happened to mention that he was a healer, Tony mentioned the fact that he had this splitting headache whereupon this man started to wave his hands over Tony’s head, and in seconds Tony’s headache had gone. He couldn’t believe it. This sparked an interest in Tony and he decided to have a look at these things himself. He joined a healing circle and developed his own healing abilities of which to this day he still uses. So from being an ardent sceptic he was now quickly revising his thoughts on many of his previously questioned topics. Some years later Tony visited Hugh Lodge the nephew of Sir Oliver Lodge who had been heavily involved with the paranormal and who will probably be best remembered for believing in the Cottingly fairies photographs which would later be proved as fakes. Hugh introduced Tony to something known as the Christos Experiment which was basically a way to introduce an Out Of Body Experience. An OOBE is when an individual claims that his physical material body has someone separated from his astral or spirit body where one can astral travel through space and time. In the vast majority of these cases the individual is either asleep or inactive and this can either be an enjoyable or frightening experience. Tony’s meeting with Hugh Lodge proved to be the turning point in his life and he began to utilise the Christos Experiment on different people where he found that he had a success rate of between 20 to 30%, this success rate increased as the years wore on and he became more adapt at it, however, being the imaginative inventor that he was, he began to ponder whether he could build a machine which could induce an OOBE to occur, after many sleepless nights working away in his workshop he eventually produced a device which he fondly calls his ‘Bio-Energiser’ Much to his surprise he found that his device could actually heal people which in itself was a wonder but it came into it’s own when he utilised his ‘Bio-Energiser’ during his demonstrations of the Christos Experiment on students. The two combined, to increase his success rate from 30% to 80%. Basically Tony’s ‘Bio-Energiser’ is a box which is approximately one foot square by seven inches high, he fondly calls it his ‘thunderstorm in a box’ Inside the box are high voltage generators creating very high frequencies, these frequencies come out of the box as an electrical field which then spreads out into the room affecting all those who are close to it. Incredibly Tony claims to have had over 50 people in a room having Out Of Body Experiences all at once ! The device runs on 12 volts and it can either be run on a car battery or a mains battery. I asked Tony what a typical Out Of Body Experience was like to which he replied that one doesn’t lose consciousness, the individual has full consciousness throughout. One would then experience rising up above the house floating above the roof and being able to see up into the sky and then floating amoungst the stars. He then encourages his students to go to a specific place or indeed any place that they so want, and usually these people find themselves there instantaneously . Some of his students have even visited planets and witnessed strange entities and creatures upon them. Of course he accepts that the sceptics of this world will challenge these claims, that’s why he can confirm that these people have been where they have said they have been, to this end he usually gets someone completely different and at a later stage to go to this place and tell Tony what he or she can see. This procedure usually produces identical results. Another way in which Tony can convince those sceptics, is either for himself, or one of his students (in an Out Of Body state) to go and visit someone without them knowing afterwhich he would then telephone that individual to tell him what he was wearing, what the inside of his house was like, and what he was doing at a certain time. Generally speaking however, one is very uplifted by the OOBE experience. Some people claim to see a silvery cord stretching from the material body to the spiritual body and if they come back into their material body too quickly this can cause quite a disturbing effect. Apparently some of Tony’s students have seen each other in their OOBE state, some are clothes, some are not ! Tony explained that what appears solid in this OOBE state, is in fact ‘not’ ! One can go straight through walls, up ‘through’ the ceiling and out of glass windows with the greatest of ease, sometimes people can actually feel the texture of the walls and glass as they pass easily through it. More importantly however, one'’ perception completely changes and sometimes one can actually see ‘inside’ objects ! One man whose body was riddled with cancer, actually saw inside his body during an OOBE and witnessed the horrible cancerous growth that was growing there, it was seeing this, that made him dramatically change his life style and on last contact with the man, he was still very much alive. Having researched UFOs as I have, I was keen to know if Tony had ever managed to get someone to go back in time to a famous UFO Incident and describe what they saw. This he has done and this is something of which Tony and I, with others, hope to explore in the near future. Tony’s dream is to one day build a ‘Bio-Energiser’ room where the walls of the room would contain all the equipment, "now wouldn’t that be something", he said
Tony explained that he had used his device in many different locations, he has used it in people’s living rooms, in night clubs, and even demonstrated it on television, the only draw back for him, was that he couldn’t always induce an Out Of Body Experience on himself. He could do it with others, but very rarely could he do it to himself. Judy and I were becoming more and more fascinated by the claims of this man and my next question was one in which I was keen on an answer, "Was it possible to visit the spirit world" ? Many times was Tony’s answer and he went on to say and I quote.
"I was doing a session for a group of people and one lady there just broke down in tears she was crying uncontrollably and I thought that there must be something terribly wrong here. And I said to her ‘what is it’’. Now I didn’t know it at the time that she had just lost her husband, and she said, ‘Well I’ve just been to visit my husband in the spirit world and he looked so beautiful and so calm and now I know he’s alright. I’m crying tears of joy. I met him surrounded by nice spiritual people in light and he has got used to the fact that he is no longer on this planet’. And she said she met him face to face and that it was such a tremendous relief that he was O.K."
Tony explained that this lady had met her ‘dead’ husband in beautiful gardens which were near some fantastic caves. Apparently lots of his subjects have visited the spirit world and each and everyone of them come back saying how wonderful it is. This was fine I thought to myself, but what about bad experiences, had anyone had a bad experience during an OOBE ? He stated that there were a few people who had reported quite bad experiences. One group admitted to taking drugs whilst using one of Tony’s ‘Bio-Energisers’, they found themselves in some dark foreboding caves being chased by demons, this might however been partly due to the drugs they were taking. I wanted to know how long it took for someone to go into this OOBE state once he had switched his device on and he replied by saying that it can be different for people, some go under quite quickly whilst other people might take a few minutes. Tony reckons that if someone hasn’t gone under after the first 20 minutes then it won’t work for them, an average for most people would be around 6 minutes. Of course the human mind is a complex organ, and I wanted to know if a '‘belief system' may be the root cause for someone to go into one of these OOBE states, could it not just be their belief and desire for his device to work rather than the device actually working itself ? Tony’s reply was that there had been people come over to test his device stating that they didn’t believe it and that it was all basically a load of nonsense, however, once the device was switched on their scepticism soon vanished for it worked for them to.
Tony’s group sessions usually last for around an hour, though on some occasions it can last as long as two hours ! Needless to say Tony has sold quite a number of his ‘Bio-Energisers’ including some high standing medical doctors here in London, (they retail for £280). One has to remember however that by using the ‘Bio-Energiser’ one is opening up gateways to a large number of other dimensions and the situations that could transpire therein is mind boggling. I asked Tony to sum up in general what he felt the potential was for human kind with his device and he replied,
What I feel, is that there is a terrific potential here which is untapped at the moment and the potential extends in many directions. It extends into the field of healing and paranormal Investigations, UFOs and states of human consciousness, space travel. Now one can also produce magnification of it in the sense that you can travel within the confines of atoms and see the structure of themNow in the realms of language translation one of the things that can be done in an out of body experience is to enter into the consciousness of another person in the past or the future. When one does that, one doesn’t in general influence that person but whatever language their speaking you seem to be able to instantly translate it into one’s own language, so it strikes me from a translation point of view this could lead into many fields of potential benefit to human nature."
It had been a very enjoyable evening spent in the company of Tony Bassett a man with ideas and a sense of purpose. A man who’s convictions that his device will benefit all mankind was plain to see during the whole of our interview. My colleagues and I hope to test Tony’s device early in the New Year and I’m sure that this magazine will be keen to hear our findings, so stay tuned on that one, we may be on the threshold of new and ever widening horizons.

The Atlantis Blueprint. AUTHORS: Rand Flem-Ath & Colin Wilson. PUBLISHERS: Little Brown, Brettenham House, Lancaster Place, London, WC2E 7EN. PRICE: £18:99 (Hbk). ISBN: 0-316-85313-5.
Many books have been written about the lost world of Atlantis, some discounting it, others stating that it really existed. However, there is still a number of authors who differ very much in their agreements on where exactly Atlantis was situated. Ancient written accounts may not always be correct and a lot of fanciful word play may give rise to false and misleading information which certain authors may embellish for their own monetary ends. The authors of this book however, have painstakingly (over the past 20 years in fact) gathered together heaps of information from a wide variety of sources which compiled together, makes for darned good reading. But is there any truth to be had in this darn good reading ? Cannot it all be yet again pure speculation ! Well if the information contained in this book is anything to go by, I don’t think so.
Let us look at some of the interesting points that the authors make throughout the book. First and foremost, the authors found in their study that the various ancient sites scattered throughout the world had some form of pattern, a pattern that suggested to them that these ancient sites were somehow aligned. This suggested to them, that these monuments were not as first thought, built by the local peoples of the respected areas, that a civilisation which existed before Atlantis had a tremendous knowledge of building and other such things had helped to erect these statues and monuments. The authors take us on a historical journey throughout various parts of the world where we learn of stories which back up their claims of an ancient civilisation. Other authors views are looked at in depth where Colin and Rand clear up inaccurate points and show and state what they believe ‘really happened’ ! Easter Island, the stones of Costa Rica, Cuzco, Avebury, and even Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland are all looked at in detail where the authors provide us with compelling information which on the surface appears tantalising.
I found much in this book that I hadn’t read before, some of which admittedly I don’t entirely agree with. Due to lack of insufficient or corroborative information, there will always be gaps which may never be filled, which if filled, would have proven (or dis-proven) the authors opinions. Nonetheless, this is an intriguing book, a book full of facts, a book which not only looks at Atlantis but at a lost civilisation which were certainly knowledgeable in scientific applications ! This is probably the best book that I’ve read on Atlantis and ancient civilisations. There is far too much to go into about this book in this small review, suffice it to say, buy the book to get the full picture, you won’t be disappointed.

TITLE:
Unearthly Disclosure. AUTHOR: Timothy Good. PUBLISHER: Century, The Random House Group Ltd, 20 Vauxhall Bridge Road, London, SW1V 2SA Tel: 020 7840 8400. PRICE: £16:99 (Hbk). ISBN: 0 7126 8465 4.
Timothy Good is probably thee most prolific writer in the British Isles when it comes to writing books about UFOs, (followed closely by Jenny Randles). Timothy however, is in the envious position of having extremely good contacts within the Military and Air Force and other sections of the Armed Forces. For it is the contacts within these areas that Timothy gleams most, if not all his fantastic revelations about secret Military (and sometimes Government) dealings with UFOs and their occupants ! The author has a seasoned background in books of this nature and his latest offering ‘Unearthly Disclosure’ again hits the mark with a wealth of fantastic revelations about strange ‘alien’ (!) creatures such as the creatures of Varginha which is situated 200 miles north north west of Rio de Janeiro. Then there is the remarkable photographs contained within this book of a hideous looking ‘creature’ (!) photographed by one Filiberton Caponi during May 1993. The author goes into great detail about this case in which the photographer later stated that he had hoaxed the whole thing, but later retracted this. Timothy writes this case up in great detail and the reader is left to ponder on the validity of the story. I had some problems with the story and the photographs, but then again, if the creature depicted really is an ‘alien’, who am I to say what that should look like !
When discussing the possible psychic nature with UFOs and alien reports, Timothy states, and I quote. "It is possible for example that contact with alien intelligence’s stimulates poltergeist and other psychic activity and causes witnesses to become psychically ‘open’ for reasons that we do not understand. It is also possible that some aliens may be thousands of years ahead of us in terms of mental development, therefore what we regard as paranormal abilities may be second nature to them. They may be equally adept at functioning in other dimensions and manipulating space-time." I quite agree. In another deliberation, Timothy states, "Although an extraordinary focus on human reproduction is evident in many abduction cases, perhaps for purposes of alien hybridisation, Kelly Cahill, (A UFO abductee that Timothy refers to in his book) shares my feeling that some alien entities might be more interested in our ‘souls’ or ‘life force’ than in our bodies". Now there’s a thought ! The author is a committed ‘believer’ when it comes to ‘alien’ beings simply because the evidence presented to him has been vastly overwhelming that this is so. He presents information that the ‘aliens’ already are here and have bases under various oceans on planet Earth. There is lots for the student of UFOlogy to find in Timothy’s latest offering. Newcomers to the subject will no doubt be impressed by the information contained therein. The foreword was written by Admiral of the Fleet, Lord Hill Norton GCB Chief of the Defence staff between 1971 and 1973. He was also the Chairman of NATO Military Committee between 1974 and 1977. Lord Hill Norton is a firm believer with Timothy Good that mankind is indeed interacting with some form of ‘alien’ intelligence, not only that, but the Governments of the world (or at least some of them) are themselves actively co-operating with deziens of other worlds for purposes best known to themselves.
This then is a powerful book, some may find it fanciful (especially the claims by people who claim to have seen and photographed ‘aliens’. However, one cannot disguise the fact that ‘Unearthly Disclosure’ is a book that will stimulate the minds of those who read it but ultimately those self same readers will no doubt (as I was) feel betrayed by the powers that be who claim to be working with and for the people. There is a lot that is being kept hidden from the public, and it’s thanks to authors like Timothy Good who can do the leg work, chase the leads, ensure those leads are bona fide, and turn the evidence accumulated over to you the reader and let you be the judge.
A good and interesting book, and one I would recommend you read to keep you abreast of the latest happenings within the strange and ever interesting world of UFOlogy.

UFOs ABOVE GLENROTHES.
Glenrothes man John Patterson went into his back garden to test out his new digital camera and got more than he bargained for. For when he got round to printing his photographs, he was amazed to see two white triangle UFOs in the sky. John’s story was printed in the Glenrothes Gazette of September 27th 2000 and looking at the photograph, his image does indeed look striking. He claims that he hasn’t touched up the photograph and apparently there wasn’t any air traffic in the vicinity at that particular time, although nearby RAF Leuchars did say that it was possible that two Tornadoes could have been in the area. This area has seen it’s fair share of UFO activity over the years and a number of Scottish UFOlogists are currently looking into this and other reports. Nearby Falkland Hill is a popular spot for UFO watchers. Should I hear anymore about this particular incident, then I shall of course let you know.
BILLY BUCHANAN BACK AT THE BRITISH LIBRARY.
I was invited to attend a showing of some of the filming and information that the Ken Stanton archives had accumulated during the year 2000. Chairing the afternoon was Bonnybridge Councillor Billy Buchanan, (see previous SPI England news bites). Judy and I took our seats in the plush but sparsely attended lecture theatre to see what they call, modern art film !! It was weird, and totally off the wall but interesting nonetheless. Billy spoke about the whole Bonnybridge UFO situation afterwhich for all to go out into the lobby where some extra filming was to take place. Billy’s humour knew no bounds that day and he had every one that came along in fits of laughter. He is the only guy on this planet that can crease me up, he is amazingly funny. There is no doubt that Billy Buchanan is a double edged sword. He is a combination of a showman and a sincere (yes he can be) and honest councillor, someone who will walk to the ends of the Earth to make a point or get something done for you. And even although he is associated with UFOs, he always has the people on his side as he is constantly being re-elected. Nice to see you again Billy.
