APOLOGY 2.
Our Web Site manager Dean Ladds has been very busy of late with various studies which has not given him any time to sit down and update our web site news so my apologies for that. I do hope you find all the latest news from a few months ago of interest and I welcome your thoughts and comments.
A RARE CASE OF INCUBUS !
A case was presented to me a few weeks ago which turned out to be not your normal run-of-the-mill ghostly case! No, this was something else. This was something which was occurring to a woman aged 47 at her home in Greenford, London and which was frightening and disturbing to say the least. It’s what’s known as an incubus - a ‘demon’ who assaults females during sleep. There are recorded cases in the past in which nuns and female saints were particularly likely to be sought out to be sexually assaulted during the night time hours. Father Sinistrari, a noted demonologist of the late 17th century, writes of the Devil who ‘shapes for himself a body endowed with motion by means of which this body copulates with the human being’. I made contact with the woman, whom we’ll call Elizabeth, by phone and found out that she was deeply depressed and terrified by what was going on, so much so, that she hadn’t had any proper sleep in weeks. This was ruining her life. Not only was the incubus keeping her awake each and every night, but it was with her every moment of the day, (even when she went shopping!!). My partner Judith Jaafar and I took a serious look at this case and weighed up all the options. Was this lady making this all up and if so, what for? Could this not just be a medical condition, was she hallucinating or going out of her mind? Was she looking to be re-housed and had tried everything to get away from that home but couldn’t, so invented a story of a ghost in the vain hopes that the local council would re-house her? Fanciful yes, but entirely a true possibility for I and other researchers have indeed noted this as a root cause of some alleged ghostly phenomena. There was only one way to find out for sure what was going on, and that was to visit the lady in question and find out what was happening.
OUR FIRST VISIT.
On Wednesday the 21st of June Judy and I visited Elizabeth at her modest council home in the town of Greenford, West London. Elizabeth lived with her 22-year-old son Martin who unfortunately did not believe in his mother’s claims that they shared the house with a ghost. This was a cause of some distress to Elizabeth for she had looked to Martin to support and help her through these troubled times but had to accept that a story such as this would be hard to believe ‘anywhere’, never mind a council house in Greenford. Elizabeth had moved into this house back in 1992 from her prior home in South Harrow. She was now divorced from her husband and had entered into a relationship with a much younger man, a relationship that was fueled by an intense sexual energy and desire. This relationship, it would turn out, proved to have a direct bearing on the horrible events that would transpire later, but at this stage Elizabeth was in love, a love that she had never known before, a love fired with passion and longing, but a love which was dangerous and full of hidden deceit, for her young lover was the best friend of her son. When her son found out, he was enraged and needless to say Elizabeth’s relationship with her lover ended, not at her insistence, but at her lover’s. This was in January 2000.
The pain and hurt that Elizabeth felt at the end of this intense relationship was immense, she had never known so much pain in all her life. She couldn’t eat, she couldn’t sleep, she constantly longed for her lover to come back to her and re-kindle the emotions of before, sadly this was never to be. Now, it was at this point, and all will become clear the more we go through this story, that her life descended into what could only be described as a horror story. Elizabeth at this point was at her weakest, and it was at this point that she began to experience horrible sickening sensations. These sensations took the form of pins and needles that she felt moving all over her head. This happened no matter where she went and occurred both indoors and outdoors. She then experienced a pushing sensation down on her legs when she was lying in bed and the sensation of someone/thing stroking her hair. She also at this time experienced constant breezes blowing into and around her head. This would occur in a closed room with all the windows securely locked. She began to think she was losing her mind and nothing it seemed could stop these incessant occurrences, not only that though, there was also a horrible musky smell that she detected in her bedroom, and, on one occasion, she looked up from her bed into the air, and looking back at her were little faces (human) with intense black eyes. However, the above incidents were nothing in comparison to what was to follow.
AN EXCUSRION INTO DEPRAVITY !
Elizabeth dreaded going to bed, for she knew that as soon as she lay down to go to sleep, it would start!! She would be touched by an invisible presence all over her body. Breezes would flit and waft all over her but more horribly she then was subjected to any woman’s worst imaginable fear, that of being raped. But nothing can be worse surely, than being raped by an unseen entity! Nothing can prepare one for the horrors of being sexually entered by something from an unseen dimension. She lay back frozen in fear as she firstly felt her breasts being touched then a weight would come down on top of her body and then suddenly and painfully she felt what to all intents and purposes was a penis being inserted into her vagina. No woman can imagine the horror of something like this happening to her, and whom does she tell? Who would believe such a tale? What could be done to stop the nightly horrors? It went on and on until finally it would stop and her exhaustion would finally give her a few hours sleep before she would wake up to the same.
People often say that ghosts can’t do you much harm (other than frighten you) but cases such as these clearly illustrate that there sadly is a more sinister and depraved side to the paranormal. We know that cases such as this are not overly rare, there have been, as I mentioned earlier, many cases of this throughout recorded history and probably will continue to be, but that doesn’t help people like Elizabeth. She knew that what was happening wasn’t normal, she knew enough to know that something had to be done, she had to take steps to try and get rid of this evil presence once and for all and it was through reading a local newspaper where she came across an article about myself and my interests in the supernatural, that she contacted me. It was time to see what could be done.
HELP WAS AT HAND. JULY 8TH 2000.
I knew that I had to help this lady. Judy and I obviously questioned everything that Elizabeth had to say, and before Judy and I would even begin to look at a supernatural situation, we looked at a possible medical one. Was she deluded, were these sensations nothing more than imaginations? Crazy I know, but we had to check for alternatives. We advised her to go to her doctor and ask for a proper check up. She could if she wanted to explain all about her strange condition, but whether the doctor could suggest anything once he had heard it, remained to be seen. (She refused this advice on the grounds that any doctor would automatically diagnose her as suffering from some kind of schizophrenia or sexual psychosis, without even considering the possibility of entity oppression. Before contacting us she had already arranged with her local C of E vicar for deliverance ministers to visit. She was convinced that a "spirit" was plaguing her, and we could do nothing to shake this conviction. JJ). Admittedly we should have pressed on with this more, rather than seek the services of a psychic medium, but she was desperate, we had to help her, and we had to help her now. Elizabeth had also contacted her local church and spoken to a Minister about what had been going on in her home. He believed her and he set a date when he and three women from the Church of England would attend and conduct an exorcism. That day came, and Elizabeth informed me that the Minister was a very pleasant man who said a number of prayers around the home and asked the spirit to leave. He, and the three Church of England women, sprinkled Holy water at different parts of the house. Sadly, all this was to no avail, for things got worse. The events got more horrific. Elizabeth now started having a severe pain in her lower back. The Church had failed, what could SPI England do !
And so I took the step of bringing in one of England’s leading psychic mediums, a very pleasant and charming woman called Jenny Eales. Jenny has appeared on the Kilroy Silk programme and a number of other T.V. shows and has given clairvoyant meetings around the world. I looked to Jenny to hopefully eradicate these horrible events from Elizabeth’s life but knew that success in these matters was not always assured. Nonetheless on Saturday July 8th, Judy, myself, Jenny and her son Alastair traveled over to Greenford to see what we could do. Upon arrival and a refreshing cup of tea, Jenny set to work. She asked numerous questions of Elizabeth which would assist her in determining how bad the situation really was. It wasn’t too long before Jenny’s spirit guides told her that the events were real, that there were two spirit presences involved here, one of which was good, and the other not so good. Surprisingly the good spirit was a 28 year old woman whom it turned out was Elizabeth’s child ! Elizabeth had a still-born child 28 year’s ago, that child had died in the physical world, but continued to live on in the spirit world. Elizabeth was very moved by this, and gave her the name, Susanna. More importantly however, Jenny found out who the culprit of these evil matters was. He was a scruffy looking man, around five feet nine inches in height, had greasy, long, unkempt, curly hair and had a long wiry beard. He was also thin in the face and had a thin bodily frame in general and was around 50 years of age. Jenny explained to us all that he was trapped between both worlds. He was caught between the earth bound realms and the spirit realms and would not go towards the light, he preferred where he was. Jenny went onto explain, that due to the break up of her (Elizabeth’s ) relationship with her young lover, she was at her lowest ebb. She was depressed, lonely, and insecure and longed for that loving companionship to come back. It was at this point that this Earth-bound spirit had ‘latched’ itself onto her in this most despicable way. Jenny explained to this spirit man, that what he was doing was very wrong, and that there was a better place for him to go, that he should go towards the light and that that light would be shown to him now. Jenny explained that this light was in a way similar to an elevator. If you can imagine an elevator going up but you don’t see the walls, and the elevator would be going up in a shaft of light, well it would be something similar. At this point the man threw himself down on the ground (Jenny could psychically see this) and began crying and asking forgiveness. He apologised for all the hurt, pain and suffering that Elizabeth had to endure and said that he would now go towards the light, that he was ready to do so. Jenny had asked her spirit guides to bring forth the man’s father (who was also in spirit) who would assist him to travel over, and on seeing his father, the man left, he was gone. It was over. The relief in Elizabeth’s face was plain to see. Not only had Jenny got rid of this Earth-bound spirit, but she had also administered psychic healing on Elizabeth. She also left a protective shell around her and told her to visually imagine a cocoon of protective light around her, a light that would not allow anything else to come though. But she herself had to make positive steps in her life. She had to take up a daily interest, join a club or society, do something constructive and positive with her day to day living, for at the moment, all she was doing was shuffling around the house and occasionally going out to do some shopping. We all enforced these proposals to her and she recognised the importance of doing so. (I was totally unconvinced by Jenny’s well-intentioned performance. I have never seen anyone so adept at asking leading questions and putting thoughts and words into another’s mouth. As an investigator this angered me, although I am absolutely sure that Jenny was doing her very best to help Elizabeth. I was very concerned that she was reinforcing Elizabeth’s total belief in a spiritual explanation for her distress, and possibly making matters worse. If this didn’t work, then Elizabeth would be plunged into even greater depression. It all just seemed far too pat, far too easy to me. I had an overwhelming sense of deception, either on Elizabeth’s part or on the part of the alleged entity, if it existed at all. Jenny was insistent that the possessing entity was a human soul, lost and unloved. Hundreds of years of conventional wisdom about incubi and succubi dictates otherwise. They are invariably manifestations of an evil that has never been human, and are incredibly difficult to banish. At the moment I can see two distinct scenarios emerging – that of a depressed, delusional, mentally- ill woman, or a non-human force that is cunning and deceptive, or even a combination of both. There is something we are missing here, and I am sure that Elizabeth has not told us all the information about herself that we must have in order to make a proper and responsible evaluation. I fully expect Jenny’s spirit deliverance not to have worked. We researchers take on an enormous responsibility when trying to handle a case like this. Neither Malcolm nor I are qualified mental health professionals, nor are we trained exorcists. But we are catapulted into a distressing case where we have to make judgements about what is the right way to proceed, because people like Elizabeth have nowhere else to turn. I personally want Elizabeth to go to her doctor, but she won’t. What do we do? Wash our hands of the whole case and leave her to the hell that’s she’s living in, be it created by herself or not? If Elizabeth were to go to her doctor and be wrongly diagnosed as psychotic, it would be a travesty, and thus I understand her reluctance. But if she is in need of psychiatric help and we don’t try to ensure that she receives that help, then that would be a travesty also. This brings into focus a huge problem that we have in Britain in paranormal and UFO research. More and more what we term "high strangeness" cases are being reported, and who in all honesty is qualified to deal with them? There are no diplomas in spirit possession or alien abduction. If you leave it to psychologists, you can be sure before you even start what their evaluations will be. They have been trained to think in a certain way, and believe in certain things. Very few have the courage, or the curiosity, to embrace this kind of thing with open minds, and open hearts. This is not to say that I believe all witness reports on the paranormal can be taken at face value and a supernatural explanation be arrived at. Not at all. The majority of weird experiences do have a psychological stimulus, and this is in itself an interesting field of study. But there will always be some cases where this just does not apply. Who ya gonna call?
We’ll keep you posted on Elizabeth’s case, but I can guarantee you that there’s more to come, lots more. JJ)
AFTER THOUGHT.
So this hadn’t been your normal expected haunting. This was not a ghost case as such, as it wasn’t the building that was haunted, it was Elizabeth that was possessed. As we got up to leave Elizabeth’s home, Judy let out a loud and unsuspected cry of, "Oh my God, I can see little aquamarine blue spots all over your face". I looked into Elizabeth’s face and incredibly I too saw what Judy was looking at. These lights were all over her face, they weren’t circular lights, but were small oval lights of such a beautiful colour. ( They were not lights as such, but spots of colour. They were not luminescent, nor incandescent, but looked as if they had been projected onto her face from elsewhere. They moved over the contours of her face like the projected lights you would find on the walls of a disco or club, and were similarly flattened ellipses, not circles. I am at a loss to explain this phenomenon. There was nothing I could see in the room that could have produced such an effect. JJ). They were also in her hair and above her head. Jenny piped up and said that what we were looking at was the healing energies that she had left with Elizabeth. To be honest with you, I actually had seen these lights just prior to Judy, but I really honestly thought that my eyes were playing tricks on me, that perhaps I had been looking at something else in the room and that the colours had followed me, (which can happen). But for Judy to see it too was quite something. Anyway, the upshot of this case is that at the time of writing July 9th (the day after) everything is quiet. If the events happen again, which we obviously hope they don’t, then Jenny has offered her services again. I’ll keep you the readers of our web site updated should this story continue, but I really hope for Elizabeth’s sake it doesn’t, and some peace and tranquility will once more enter her life. She sure needs it.
BUT THERE’S MORE !!
THE LIVINGSTONE INCIDENT A MAJOR ‘NEW’ DEVELOPMENT !!!!
Since I had the psychic Jenny Eales at my home on July 8th (the day we went to see Elizabeth, see above), I took the opportunity to test Jenny on her psychometry abilities. Psychometry is the art of holding an object in your hands, it could be any object, where sudden images and flashes come into the mind of the psychic who is holding the object. Say for instance you the reader gave me your grandfather’s watch. Now I don’t know your grandfather, but if I were gifted in psychometry I could suddenly tell you all about your grandfather, his life, what he looked like, what he liked to do etc etc. Could this work, I thought, on a pair of trousers !! Not any old pair of trousers, but a pair of trousers that a witness had worn when he was in close proximity to a UFO. I refer of course to the Livingston Incident, one of Scotland’s most famous case of close proximity UFO contact. The witness, (Robert Taylor) had his trousers ripped below each pocket by some spherical objects that rushed from underneath the larger object (UFO), he was rendered unconscious, and when he awoke he found that the larger object had gone, as had the two spherical objects that came out of the ‘thing’ but there was many ground trace marks all over the grass, circular and triangular impressions made by (?) This case made world-wide news, and Robert’s torn trousers were shown on many T.V. documentaries around the world, including Arthur C.Clarke’s Mysterious World programme. Thankfully I have Robert’s trousers in my possession (with his permission) and I regularly show them at lectures and meetings that I give around the country. Admittedly these trousers have been psychometrised before and those results have been written up elsewhere, although it's fair to say, that on those two other occasions that different psychics worked on these trousers, both got much the same result, and their results would tie in (in part) with what Jenny Eales got. O.K. so the scene has been set, let’s draw back the curtains, and tell you the reader just what England’s top psychic got.
SUSPENDED IN THE AIR !
For this experiment, I handed Jenny Robert’s trousers in a black sealed bin liner. She obviously knew by the feel of the bag that it was an item of clothing or perhaps a towel. I told her absolutely nothing about what the item in the bag was other than it was something of importance and that I would very much like to hear her thoughts about it. In next to no time Jenny’s guides were giving her information. However, this information was all about the past wearer (Robert himself). She knew it was trousers, she knew it was a male owner. She did ask for his name (first name only) as her spirit guides liked to work with a name. My partner Judy and I sat watching as Jenny held the bag tightly and tried to unveil any information that could be relevant to this case. However, as said above, Jenny continued to bring forth things all about Robert himself. It was at this point that Judy said to Jenny that what I was looking for was something more specific, that it centered around a specific day in the wearer’s life, and it was this day that we were both interested in. (I realised that Jenny was struggling to come up with anything relevant to the UFO case and that if I didn’t direct her a little we would be there all night and none the wiser. JJ) Jenny thanked us for this as she could now direct further questions to her spirit guides along a different track. Now admittedly, Jenny knew that both Judy and I were researchers, and it’s fair to assume that knowing this, Jenny could have expected to psychometrise something which didn’t belong to us, but could have been attached to a UFO or paranormal case. I’m surmising here but that’s what I think. It was obviously important to me. Nonetheless we proceeded with the test, and this dear reader, is what transpired. Before we go straight into what she said, let me point out that I am only relating those parts which are relevant to the Livingston Incident and I am not discussing those parts relevant to Robert himself.
Jenny sat, eyes closed with a tight hold of Robert’s trousers and said that she saw Robert in a struggle for his life. She saw an enormous ball behind him, she then saw a vehicle, a land rover perhaps, ( Robert arrived to the scene of the Incident Dechmont Woods near Livingston Central Scotland in a Beaufort pick up truck). She saw a grassy area and a lot of trees around, (correct this was a wooded area and the scene of the incident was indeed in a grassy area). She then saw Robert being dragged towards something and that he was conscious at the time. She feels that his head hit a boulder or a brick. Jenny then saw him being ‘raised up into the air’, he was being suspended in the air, she got the feeling that he was pinned against a tree by a powerful force. His feet were well off the ground. At this point he lost consciousness and after a few moments he was dropped to the ground and she felt, left to die. Jenny felt that this was a ‘supernatural force’, not spiritual, but ‘supernatural’, it was somehow ‘alien’. Robert woke up and was very traumatised by this, he was shaking, had incoherent speech and there was a red patch on his back. (There was no red patch on his back according to Robert) He also had a severe headache (correct) and she felt that he had a sense of missing time, like there were some years eradicated from his memory. There was paralysis on the right hand side of his body and he (Robert) felt that he had been tampered with. She felt that nobody believed him, (correct).
At this point I really felt like telling the whole story to Jenny, but knew that I couldn’t until I had squeezed as much information from her as possible. Before I continue, let me remind the reader that Jenny did know that both Judy and I were researchers, and that the experiment that I had asked her to assist with could well have UFO or paranormal connotations. Now that said, and if she was bearing this in mind, she could never ‘physically’ know what, if any, ghost or UFO case I was asking her to do. Yes sceptics will say telepathy, and perhaps they could be right, (ie, that she was getting all this information from the minds of Judy and me) but at the end of the day, one never learns anything by resting on their laurels. To learn something we must enquire, we must open as many doors as possible to reach the truth. If psychometry can assist as a tool to do such a thing, then so be it. But let me continue.
Jenny went quiet, then after a few seconds she said that whatever had happened here had made great media coverage, that it was in the history books ! (Correct, it did make mega media coverage, and as far as history books go, one could substitute that for UFO books, for this incident is in many). She continued by saying that this incident was a one-off. I had to disagree here as I thought about the countless thousands of reported UFO abductions the world over. However Judy said later, when we had completed the full psychometry, that when one looks at the Livingston Incident, it really was a one-off, a one-off in the sense of the shape of the object, the two mine-like objects that came from the larger object. No where in the history books has something similar been seen. Mind you, having said that, I had heard about an incident from South America (I think that’s where it occurred) where something similar had been seen including the mine like objects, but these objects ‘exploded’ in front of a witness. I don’t know if the story is true or not, and if so, what became of the witness, but other than that story, the Livingston case is indeed a one off.
Jenny then stated that her spirits guides were saying to her that what happened here was a disgrace to mankind, it was futile. She also saw what looked like a green perspex bath in the area and lots of low level energy clouds or mist just above the grass. (Robert did not mention this when I called him a few days after this experiment to check a few facts with him). The large object that Jenny saw, a large ball, was a dark charcoal grey in colour and Jenny began to draw the object for me. Admittedly it does not really resemble the object that Robert saw. Robert saw a domed shaped object with a flange going around its perimeter. What was striking however, was on the drawing of the object, on the ball itself, was one cross like projection, only one. Now the object that Robert saw, had a number (he doesn’t recall how many) of cross like projections coming up from the flange. Jenny’s one cross is exactly the same as what Robert saw, exactly ! She also stated that she experienced a wind, a rush of wind came out of the object towards Robert. (Robert did hear a whooshing sound, the kind of sound that a cane would make as it was swished across the air, but he didn’t exactly say a wind). There was an impact on Robert, there was something like a magnetic attraction pulling him towards the object, (correct in the sense that the two spherical ball like objects which came rushing out of the main object, projected their rod like extensions to both sides of Robert’s trousers causing them to rip, and just before he lost consciousness, he experienced a definite tug pulling him towards the main object). Jenny felt that there was some kind of intelligence associated with the object. She also felt that there was some kind of damage to his vehicle, (well not as such, he did in point of fact after the event, reverse his vehicle into a ditch and couldn’t get it out again, but there was no main damage as such).
Jenny was also correct when she said that she felt that Robert had difficulty in breathing after the incident and that he had severe headaches afterwards. This was correct when I re-checked with Robert when I telephoned him a few days later. Jenny had also correctly stated a number of personal things about Robert which when I checked proved to be correct, including the angina that he has suffered with for a number of years. And that was it. The psychometry was over, some more information was brought to light but does it have any real and true relevance to what exactly happened that crisp cold November morning back in 1979? At the end of the day I present the above information in the category "For What It’s Worth", one can take it or leave it. We will never really know for sure what happened when Robert became unconscious. Someone around that time suggested Robert should go to a stage hypnotherapist and see if he could piece together any ‘missing time’!! I learned about this a good few months after the regression was conducted on Robert. And what happened with the regression? Absolutely nothing. Robert recalled in great detail seeing the object and smaller objects in front of him. He recalls being ‘grabbed’ by these two small spherical devices and losing consciousness, but after that, ‘nothing’. Hypnosis did not unblock any other hidden subconscious memory. As I’ve mentioned, I spoke to Robert a few days after this experiment and he was really pleased to hear from me again. We spoke at length about that day, and he says that this memory will live with him to the grave. He ‘saw what he saw’ he told me, and nobody can tell him different. He still feels aggrieved with the comments of the Scottish sceptical UFO researcher Steuart Campbell when he first of all said that what Robert witnessed was a rare form of black ball lightning. He revised this a few years later when he then said that it was a mirage of Venus that caused him to have an epileptic fit and subsequent hallucinations. I won't even comment on that!!! (To be absolutely honest, Jenny got about as much wrong as she got right, and had to be given Robert’s name, the fact that there was an incident concerning the trousers which made big news, and the day and year of the incident before she got anything at all. Perhaps this is how her spirit guides work). JJ
So dear reader, there we have it. Can psychometry provide any further information to do with UFOs and the paranormal? If a good psychometrist held an alleged piece of a UFO or an apport or whatever which allegedly came from ‘elsewhere’, what would we have? Would we accept it, or would we just think that it was an interesting little story? Like I say, I don’t know what to think. The world is a strange place, probably stranger than we’ll ever imagine, we certainly don’t know it all, probably never will, but at the very least we must provide pieces of the puzzle from all quarters, psychometry included. The Livingston Incident of November 9th 1979 is a cracker and will always be remembered by me as the first rung on a UFOlogical journey which has taken me to where I am today. Like many others, I await the day when the mystery will properly reveal itself to all, I hope that it will be in my life time.
FOOTNOTE:
I was reading in the latest issue of the BUFORA Bulletin (June 2000) about something, which to me, is incredibly interesting, and to some degree shows just how strange the area in which Bob Taylor had his experience. Let me explain. Gloria Dixon of BUFORA received a letter dated 17th October 1999 in which a Mr L. gave an astonishing account of something that shocked him to the core. He had been out walking with his dogs on the evening of 12th October 1999 in a field that is situated next to the Deans High School near Livingston (and near, it must be stated, the area in which Robert Taylor had his experience). Mr L then became aware of something in the distance on open ground which he assumed to be another person walking their own dog. However, as the ‘figure’ approached ever closer, he soon noticed that this was no ordinary person. This ‘figure’ was a luminous yellow in colour. He described it as being quite tall, around 7ft with a luminous yellow colour on its head, hands and feet. Mr L’s dogs then began barking at this strange being, at which point it ran away. When the figure ran away, Mr L was no more than around 10ft away from it and in fact he had called out, "Can I help you"? The being appeared to turn its head, but there was no response.
This case was initially researched by BUFORA’s Scottish researcher, George Niedzwiedz, who then passed it onto David Colman. I aim to find out what, if anything, transpired with this research. Should I find out then I shall of course let you know.
ULTIMATE QUESTIONS.
Well, if you read our last SPI news you would have read about SPI and BUFORA members being on the ITV religious programme ‘Ultimate Questions’ hosted by Martyn Lewis. This was aired on Sunday the 9th of July. It went O.K. Uri Geller was great and overall (apart from the performance of panel guest Heather Couper) the show went down well. Even the producers whom I spoke to afterwards said it was their best and liveliest show ever !! I managed to get my oar in and speak about one of my UFO experiences. Good one !
THE SPI/SUFOG/APRA SKYWATCH.
On June 24th 2000 (the anniversary of the Kenneth Arnold UFO sighting) members of SPI, APRA, and the Southampton groups met up in the picturesque village of Avebury to hold a skywatch. The weather was excellent with fantastic coverage of the whole of the night sky. Sadly Judy and I saw ‘nowt’. There were a number of beautiful shooting stars and numerous satellites but nothing that we could construe as a UFO !! Still, being there on this lovely ‘cold’ evening in the atmospheric surroundings of this ancient town with its many impressive standing stones, well it’s something to behold, what a place.
HAUNTED STRIP CLUB.
Readers of the SPI web sire will no doubt recall from previous bulletins that Judy and I were researching (of all things !) a haunted strip club in Ealing. Well I was working with a T.V. production company recently in regards to this. We couldn’t get access to the original building as that has been sold on so we filmed various interviews with staff, dancers, and the manager at a night club behind Kings Cross rail station. I won’t say too much about the recording as I’m under contract, but I will let readers of our web site know when it's going out, should be sometime in October. Watch out for the topless dancers (believe me ! !!)
SPI ENGLAND MEET SPI SCOTLAND !!
As I was up in Scotland last month (June) I took the opportunity of meeting up with Billy Devlin and Brian Allen of SPI Scotland. I’m pleased to say that SPI Scotland have been so busy of late that there is not enough memory on my computer to tell you exactly how busy they have been !! They have been invited to appear on a big T.V. show over in Poland (all expenses paid), they have been working with the Discovery channel, LWT, and they have tracked down one of the doctors in the famous Sauchie poltergeist case. Brian tells me that this doctor has an audiotape of some of the paranormal sounds made in the house back in 1960. This doctor has not been interviewed since 1960 ! What a catch for SPI. Well done Brian.
INTRUDERS IN THE NIGHT.
London researcher Chris Martin has written a book detailing channeled ‘alien’ (!) information which came through his then girlfriend Vicki, called ‘Intruders In The Night’, (please see my review of this book in the SPI England book review section of our web site.) To order a copy of this book, send a cheque made payable to Chris Martin for £14:99 to, Enigma Publishing, 163 Churchberry Road, London, England, SE9 5JB.

MY CONCORDE DREAM.
In the early hours of Saturday the 22nd of July 2000, I awoke very forcibly and covered in sweat from a very vivid and dramatic dream, a dream that seemed so real and yet it couldn’t be, for it was only a dream, (or was it !). I dreamt of standing in a field with someone else (I don’t know who) and we were looking up into the daytime sky and observed Concorde flying above. It seemed to be in distress and was flying towards us at an unusual angle, suddenly it veered very sharply and it became obvious that it was going to crash. Within seconds it was heading towards a structure which in my dream was not a building as such, but seemed to be made out of long tall vertical and horizontal girders. It then crashed into that and at this point such was the fear and fright that I got watching this that I immediately came out of this dream and sat bolt upright in bed. Now admittedly I did not see any flames associated with the Concorde, not did I actually see it explode into flames as it crashed, (although I’m sure it was ready to do so at the point when I came out of my dream).
We all dream, each and every one of us. Dreams can’t foretell the future, or can they ? I’m well aware of the many documented tales of other dreams which heralded disasters, the majority of which have come true. But I have never (to my knowledge) had prophetic dreams before. Anyway, such was the force with which I came out of this dream that I woke my sleeping partner up who said "What’s the matter" ? I didn’t at first want to tell her as I thought it was stupid and just a crazy dream, but I told her anyway. I said, "You’re never going to believe this, but I’ve just dreamt of the Concorde crashing. It seemed so real, but obviously it’s just a dream". Anyway, there the matter rested until Tuesday the 25th of July (3 days later) when I turned on the T.V. and was met by the horrific scenes of the Air France Concorde AF4590 which crashed into the Hotelissimo seconds after leaving the Charles de Gaulle Airport. I stood there mouth open, not believing what I was seeing. I felt sick, I sat down and watched the horrible news unfolding. As I looked into the remnants of the Hotelissimo I saw vertical and horizontal girders, (all that was left of this holiday hotel) ‘exactly what I saw in my dream’ ! 114 people perished in this disaster, a disaster which is now believed to have been caused by a piece of metal which was lying on the runway of the Charles de Gaulle Airport. As the Concorde raced down the runway, this piece of metal punctured one of the Concorde’s tyres. Pieces of the tyre penetrated into the fuselage thereby causing ruptures of the fuel tank and subsequent fire.
I was physically shaking like a leaf - I had seen this, this is what I had seen in my dream. It wasn’t a fanciful dream ‘after the event’, I dreamt this ‘before’ the event, and not only that, I had told someone about it. But what could I have done ? Should I have notified the British and French authorities and told them about my dream ? In a way I feel I should. But what would they have done, grounded the British and French flights on my whimsical dream losing countless thousands of pounds. There are incredible dilemmas faced by people who regularly receive prophetic dreams and it’s something which I can now sympathise with. Actually I have in fact acted on someone’s prophetic dream in the past. I remember a good few years back a Scottish lady claimed to have seen a bank robbery in the town of Airdrie and told me all about it. This lady had a track record of prophetic dreams most of which came true. Anyway, the upshot was, that I called the Airdrie police station, told them who I was and the work that I did and urged them to at the very least, take this on board. They did, they posted extra police outside the bank in question. And did the bank robbery occur ? No it didn’t !! Why ? Well who knows. Did my actions stop this, was the extra police presence outside the bank observed by the potential robbers and they decided to call it off? As I say, who knows. Life is strange. Dreams I’m sure, hold more than fanciful imagery. There is something else at work but what that is, I really don’t know.
A JOURNEY TO THE STARS, TO THE SPIRIT WORLD, TO THE PAST AND THE FUTURE, CAN IT REALLY BE TRUE !!!!!
Astral travelling, Out of Body Experiences (OOBEs) what are we to make of them ? Are they real ? or are they all in the mind ? It’s not every day that I get the chance to meet up with someone who claims that he can give you an OOBE at the drop of a hat !! Well I recently came across a gentleman by the name of Tony Basset. Apparently he has been building devices known as Bio-Energisers for a number of years now and he has successfully sold them around the world. He has appeared on T.V. numerous times and given many interviews. He even turned up at a BUFORA meeting a few years back to demonstrate his device but he wasn’t allowed due to safety restrictions !!! Anyway my partner Judith Jaafar and I travelled over to see Tony at his home in Hampstead , London where I interviewed him at length on his claims. Amongst many other things that he told me were that his students (he had various people over at his house to experiment on his device) claimed to have visited the spirit world and met deceased relatives and friends. Some claimed to have travelled back in time, some claimed to have seen famous UFO encounters. Unfortunately Tony hadn’t any of his devices ready when Judy and I met him, as I desperately wanted to try it out. That said, I have invited Tony to our home here in Ealing, London to demonstrate his OOBE device. I have invited a select number of British researchers to attend this meeting where Tony’s claims will be vindicated or not. At the end of the day, research is all about getting your hands dirty. I don’t want to read about these things, I want to see if these claims hold any water and I have asked Tony to put his money where his mouth is and demonstrate his device to ‘our’ satisfaction. This meeting will hopefully be held in the very near future and I shall of course inform you of what transpires (if anything). It aims to be an interesting evening and one which I’m very much looking forward to.
When I get time (gosh, will I ever?) I aim to transcribe my interview with Tony Basset and feature it here on the SPI England web site and also the BUFORA web site and Bulletin, so stay tuned for that one as well.
L.B.C. CROP CIRCLE DEBATE.
I was contacted last month (July) by L.B.C radio in London to take part in a debate on Crop Circles. This was to be held at the I.T.N. news building in London. Having agreed to take part, Judy and I toddled off to the building where we met up with the other invited guest Carol Cochrane, Chairman of the Centre for Crop Circle Studies and an ardent believer in the reality of the phenomenon. Prior to the show Carol and I had a good chance to debate the issue and we continued this debate live on air. Also taking part in the show, was the Troggs front man and ‘Croppie’ himself, good old Reg Presley, who was taking part by phone. (Thanks for remembering me Reg !!) Carol put forward her case that the vast majority of crop circles were real with only a very few being hoaxes. I on the other hand informed the listeners that this was nonsense, that the vast majority of crop circles (in my own humble opinion, which could be wrong of course) were fake, with only a few that I had trouble with, namely those circles in which unusual, anomalous lights have been seen floating. I also explained that I personally know of a number of people who openly have admitted to me that they regularly ‘make’ crop circles every year to test the reaction of the gullible. And gullible they are too ! These people walk into the hoaxed circles claiming all kinds of things, from psychic energies to feeling sick etc etc. All nonsense and all attributable to ‘nothing but the bending down of the crop by hoaxers’ . Sometimes you have just got to laugh. Don’t get me wrong, I would love for these ‘other’ circles to have been made by something else, but as yet I am still to be convinced.
After the radio show, Carol, Judy and I retired to a nearby pub where I sat engrossed in her conversation. Carol is a truly remarkable individual and someone I’m glad to have met. I wish her well in her new position of the Chairman of the Crop Circles Studies group.
ELVIS IN THE OCHIL HILLS !!!!!
Still on the subject of marks on the countryside, an unusual and funny piece from my once local area, The Hillfoots in Clackmannanshire in Central Scotland, was to be found in the local Wee County News and Alloa Advertiser newspapers. It also found its way into Scotland’s largest selling newspaper, The Daily Record. It was none other than, would you believe, an image of Elvis Presley formed out of a combination of grass, bushes, and rocks which, when viewed from a distance, appears to show the famous singer Elvis Presley. 37 year old Linda Connor was, (according to the Daily Record) ‘all shook up’ when she spotted her idol on Law Hill (part of the Ochil Hills). She was driving on the road between Alloa and Tillicoultry with her 2 children when she saw it. I was up in Scotland myself recently and as I was walking down the Sauchie brae, there, clear as a bell in the distance on Law Hill, was indeed this image of Elvis. I ask myself, how many other hills and mountains contain the images of rock and roll stars ? And why stop there? There must be racing car drivers, footballers, models, etc, the list is endless. So the next time you’re out for a country drive or stroll, who knows, you may be in the presence of famous or ‘infamous’ people.
YOU WILL BUILD THIS DEVICE MY FRIEND !!
Being a researcher I meet up with many people, each of whom have strange stories to tell me. An interesting chap by the name of Paul Headon came to my home in June to tell me that he had been abducted by aliens, but not only that, they (the aliens) have over the years communicated with him and imparted knowledge about a device which will do away with the normal conventional engines that mankind have used throughout history. I invited Richard and Stan Conway to come to my home for the night of Paul’s visit. Stan Conway is very knowledgeable about engines and things of this nature so I knew he would be very interested in what this man had to say. Paul’s early abduction (at five year’s of age) was fairly typical and followed the pattern of other such abductions. He also believes that he has been implanted with some kind of ‘monitoring device’. Paul produced a whole stack of technical drawings which he showed us, allegedly what he has so far been given by the ‘aliens’ ! Paul at one point became quite distressed at the telling of his early abduction, and tears flowed from his eyes. He claims not to be troubled by these messages being channeled to him, indeed he welcomes them. He is trying very hard to get someone to take him seriously, moreover, he wants backing for someone to build this device, a device with no touching parts, a device that does away with petrol as a fuel for the movement of a vehicle (whatever that vehicle may be). Stan showed some interest in what Paul had to say, but overall was not totally convinced. Paul has not been given (as yet) all information for this engine but knows that there is indeed more to come.
Again we have many tales of this nature throughout UFOlogy, claims of this claims of that. What’s happening ? Can there be any truth in these stories? My interview with Paul Headon will eventually be placed here on the SPI England web site and also the BUFORA web site and Bulletin, and this will be more comprehensive than the brief details above. Look out for it. (Paul insists that he has no scientific or engineering training, but is a graphic designer by profession. Strangely, on being asked, he also insists that all this channeled information has not encouraged him to read-up on the scientific and engineering principles involved. He’s just not interested. But every time Stan asked him some very technical question about his blueprints and prototype drawings he had an equally technical answer at the ready. Something doesn’t quite fit here. JJ)
CLOSING COMMENTS.
"I’m pleased to say that our SPI Scotland site will be updated in the next few weeks so look out for that. Not a great deal happening here on the investigation front. Things seem to be a bit quite of late, hopefully something big might be round the corner !! (We live in hope eh !) Thanks for visiting the SPI England web site and we look forward to further visits from you. Until then, keep an open mind and never be overly sceptical for there’s always something out there to give you the surprise of your life and make you question the reality of existence and the cosmos. Till next time.
